Our Dental Implant Placement & Restoration Course: Simple Approaches to Achieving Minimally Invasive Placements and Predictable Restorations, will be offered at the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. This course will provide you with interactive lectures and discussions, live surgery, hands-on workshops, lectures outlines, personalized mentoring with the instructor, and special discounts. The course is divided into 4 day sessions for a total of 32 CE credits. The 4th session is a small group, hands-on live surgery that requires a separate registration to obtain your space. We will also offer an optional advanced seminar per quorum for a total of (8 CE) credits.

Session I : Aesthetics Principles & Minimally Invasive Implant Placement

Teach the basic rules of the aesthetic principles, proportion and proper placement of space, in relation to the implant placement, with emphasis on diagnosis, and medical conditions. Do a sequential treatment plan based on the diagnostic evaluation of the patient.

Step-by-step sequence demonstration through a clinical surgical video from diagnosis to implant placement and final restoration of a patient.

Show and explain in detail different techniques for taking the impression, what to avoid and new protocols to be predictable.

Clinical cases will be shown and discussed from the initial diagnosis to the final phase of restoration. New trends related to the implant systems on the market, cost including and a new implant system developed by Novobiotek will be discussed.

Learn to use, step by step, the new application for handling office tasks. Learn to create their own office areas to track or monitor from anywhere. Create users’ access and soon an EMR free.

Session II: Hands On, Over the Shoulder Live Implant Surgery

Learn the history of implants, how they have evolved to the current designs and surface treatments, and how design affects the biomechanical diagnosis and treatment plan decisions that follow.

Provide complete and detailed instructions on the placement of dental implants and the restorative phase. Cover all aspects of how to make printing and final cementation, as well as how to increase the chances of success and clinical predictability of implant procedures.

Medical implants will be placed in pig jaws in order to practice the protocol and lessons learned, following step-by-step sequence protocol. The doctor will expose different implant diameters, lengths, designs and uses as immediate or delayed load and mini implants.

Doctors will have the opportunity to observe a live surgery on patient "over the shoulder” in which they can see and clarify all the lessons learned while carrying out the surgery. Doctors will learn how to handle a real implant surgery.

Learn how to use a new task tracker application to monitor all office areas in a simple way.

Session III: Bone grafting & Hands On Training

Provide comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical ways to develop minimally invasive procedures.

Learn about new biomimetic systems, techniques, and materials to help the regeneration of soft and hard tissues, and implants to achieve predictable results.

Understand the indications, guidelines and protocols to achieve successful bone graft. Teach doctors bone biomechanical behavior, and how the ultra structure of bone affects and interacts with other products and regenerative implant.

Recognize all physiological stages of healing and tissue behavior before and after implant placement and tissue regeneration.

Describe the anatomy, biology, and ultra structure of bone and wound healing of bone grafting procedure.

Recognize types of bone graft products, available membranes, components and applications.

Recognize all growth factors and blood components for a healing process of normal tissue.

Learn how to manage and prevent complications associated with bone grafting procedures.

Session IV: Live Patient Surgery Hands On Training (separate registration is required)

Discuss new guidelines for medical systemic considerations, as well as, indications and contraindications for treatment of implant surgery and legal aspects.

Achieve the proper planning of case from making diagnoses records, pre - event planning and treatment.

Recognize the important anatomical areas, what areas to avoid, interocclusal management of complications and guides.

Identify strongest pillars of areas, guidelines for determining areas and limitations approach.

Learn new techniques to keep it simple, be more predictable and avoid failures. A new technique developed by Dr. Baez that simplifies the process will be presented.

Apply the techniques learned to perform the surgery on the patient.
